John Dwyer’s talk is on his latest book “Outback Odyssey: Travels Across Hidden Australia” He will talk about his trek across Australia and his exciting experiences of the less traveled regions of this vast country. He will also be presenting a series of slides of his travels in what is sure to be an epic night of Outback tales.
John Dwyer hails from the Beara Peninsula in West Cork and suffers from incurable wanderlust. He discovered the travel writing of Dervla Murphy at an early age and was inspired to dream about his own travel adventures. He has since traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and Africa and has published four books based on his travel adventures – High Road to Tibet, Cape Town to Kruger, and Klondike House: Memories of an Irish Country Childhood.
John Dwyer’s talk is on his latest book Outback Odyssey: Travels in Hidden Australia. It describes his search for the real Australia, away from Bondi Beach and into Bush country.
He lives in Midleton in East Cork and continues to travel to any country foolish enough to admit him. He blogs about travel and life on johndwyerbooks.com
