Conor Power, a West Cork resident and West Waterford native, has been a leading voice in Irish travel writing for over 20 years. With a background in linguistics and marketing, he works as a journalist, writer and broadcaster. At Immrama, he will discuss his travels and his debut novel “Hurling 1810” (published October 2025), a historical fiction exploring a little-known period in Irish history, capturing the political and social tensions of the time and the early game of hurling-at-goals.
