Carsten Krieger is a photographer and author based in County Clare. He has published more than 20 books on Ireland’s landscape, nature, heritage and history, including Ireland’s “Wild Atlantic Way” and “Wild Ireland”, both shortlisted for the An Post Irish Book Awards. His latest book, “10,000 Years Deep – The Story of Ireland’s Peatlands,” was published in 2025. At Immrama, Carsten will present From the Burren to the Peatlands, tracing his journey from his first visit to Ireland to a 20-year publishing career, and exploring the inspiration behind his latest book.
